Burden-bearing

I like the idea of travelling light and unencumbered – I really do. You wouldn’t be able to tell from the pile of stuff I have so far collected for our trip.

I have to carry what seems to amount to a whole medicine cabinet.

You know how it goes. You take one medication, but the medication has side effects. So you take another medication to deal with those side effects. But unfortunately that medicine has side effects too and so it goes on and on...

And my current cold reminds me that I haven’t yet packed enough...

So to the friend who would have loved to travel in my luggage:
Sorry, there is no more space.

In fact, the way I am going I shall have to wear all my clothes on my body!
